For Christmas, my cousin, Christina, and I decided we would try to get together to photograph our babies for our grandparents. They are the first great grandchildren and we KNEW we had to get this special heirloom done for them. It turned out to be an amazing beautiful (Halloween) day at Wormsloe Historic Site. And contrary to many beliefs it is actually QUITE HARD to photograph your own. Despite that Woods actually did pretty good this day even if I did have to dance and play peekaboo like a crazy woman. You mommas know my pain! You have been there! What I love about these images is that Woods is wearing his daddy’s old Feltman Brother’s bobby suit (which they also still make), and Madelyn is wearing my grandfather’s dress from when he was a baby in the images where she is wearing a bonnet. And don’t tell him I told you but he cried when we told him that was his dress Madelyn was wearing. And that’s why this was ALL WORTH IT. #storiesmatter #legaciesmatter
