After babies, well, aren’t babies anymore people often forget to photograph their little ones quite as often. And well, we understand. The first year is monumental, they change drastically…. FAST. BUT, five years, five might just be one of those monumental ones, too. It isn’t that they changed drastically (physically) over the course of the year, it’s that they are starting KINDERGARTEN. Kinda like leaving the nest. Trying out those independent wings for a few hours of the day. It’s the beginning of a whole new world. Backpacks, homework, maybe a school uniform, and smelly shoes aren’t leaving your house for good a while, Mom. This once little baby now has opinions and questions….scratch that…LOTS of questions. Sure we can still sneak the bows in the hair but life is changing and growing. And no doubt it is good, but maybe we miss a little of the old. But maybe, too, a little new is good. Because after all, THEY ARE going to school….which means half of us will celebrate a little new found freedom and the other half of us will try convincing the hubby for that “last” one. 😉 Oh friends, five years is a good year! C’mon either way you see it, let’s celebrate it! And celebrate it well.
