Kathy called and I answered. She told me that she had known Jill for a while so we chatted for a few minutes, and then I booked her for her consultation. At the consult, she brought an album of her granddaughter to show us, and that’s when I knew, this session was going to be a dream. We couldn’t get over her Shirley Temple curls and blue eyes. I MEAN LORD BLESS. She was precious. We all agreed that the session should be classic and natural. Lots of free curls, a simple smocked light blue dress. Momma, also, explained that they were in the process of purchasing a new home. We knew these images needed to be able to fit anywhere on walls….whether it was Grandma’s or Mom’s. I think we got it, friends. Isle of Hope never fails as a classic location for sessions. Our light was dreamy. And this spunky girl was so sweet and fun! So if you’re wondering, classic takes the cake every time.
One of our best kept secrets is we let Taylor hold our friend “Buzzz Buzzz” the bumble bee. The following images ensued.
Black and white always screams classic. But it was hard for everyone to choose because the color and sunset was so pretty that day! Jill and I are suckers for black and whites and actually display a lot of black and white in the studio. But the funny thing is most people choose our color.
So what’s your favorite? Color or black and white? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
