This little guy is pretty special. Last year this sweet mama came to see us to plan a family session. Before she left she told us how deeply she desired another child but that it just wasn’t happening. The doctors deemed her “old.” And after failed medical interventions, maybe, she told us, this was all God had for her. But God knew her heart. He knew just how much she wanted that “one more.” I often think about God feeling the same way about us. He sent his son Jesus for the same reason, just one more. In the new and old testament there are so many stories that begin with I couldn’t, I can’t, He won’t, I need, I can’t be healed, I can’t be touched, it’s too late, I’ve done too much. And that’s when Jesus steps in and says you are correct, you can’t….but God. But God. But God rich in his mercy, delight, and grace. I’m not sure there are any more powerful words than “But God.”
Meet Easton. A baby who was deemed impossible by doctors… BUT GOD. But with God his mercies are new every single morning.
